The Register is the first product of Violet Co's Sexual Assault Legal Practice — a non-profit endeavour, reported separately from the firm, seeded with $150,000 by the Snow Foundation in May 2026 and raising to $600,000 by June 2027. Donors fund the mission, not a law firm's profit.
Snow Foundation seed, executed. Next milestone: $300k by March 2027.
| Investment | What it funds | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| The Register | Building and running the register-and-match service: the front door, the matching, the solicitor review, the safeguards | Australian survivors can find each other safely for the first time |
| Legal capacity | A Senior Lawyer, a Lawyer and a Practice Manager — grant-funded hires, so capacity grows without commercial risk | Over 300 survivors a year supported with advice and representation, up from the three a week we currently have to turn away |
| A trained profession | Accredited training and supervised pro bono clinics for lawyers across Australia | 200+ lawyers a year able to act for survivors without doing harm |
| Systemic reform | Strategic litigation and de-identified data from the Register into the Attorney-General's pilots and ALRC-aligned reform | The unreported majority becomes visible to the people who set policy |
Figures from the Sexual Assault Legal Practice funding proposal (April 2026) and the Snow Foundation grant deliverables (FY26–FY27).

Donate through Violet Co →We are looking for catalytic, multi-year partners who practise trust-based philanthropy and value lived-experience leadership. Our full prospectus and program logic are ready to share, and Karen would welcome a conversation.
Talk to Karen →The ALRC's 2025 report calls for Justice System Navigators. The Register is a navigator's front door — built, survivor-led, and ready to pilot. We would welcome a conversation with the Attorney-General's Department about how it fits the National Plan.
