The Register is the first product of Violet Co's Sexual Assault Legal Practice — a non-profit endeavour, reported separately from the firm, seeded with $150,000 by the Snow Foundation in May 2026 and raising to $600,000 by June 2027. Donors fund the mission, not a law firm's profit.

- Separate accounts. The Sexual Assault Legal Practice is reported as its own line in every financial statement.
- A published thermometer. Registrations, connections reviewed and groups formed — never a survivor's identity — reported to funders and here.
- Independence. No funder sees identifiable client data or influences strategic litigation. Funding that asked for either would be declined.
- An advisory group of sector leaders, being formed under the Snow Foundation agreement.
